Compilation: Funny 1920’s Reporter Scoops Callahan
Hilarious compilation of some of Scoop Callahan’s best work. Scoops is a 1920’s style sports reporter who askes athletes and coaches linguistically challenging questions at press conferences. Scoops is played by Tom Gribble from The Ticket.

super funny idea, he just needs to work on his questions before asking them.. he stumbles with his words too much. and also use the phrase “cat’s meow” in every question, that line is the best. “yer defense has been the cat’s meow, how did stephen mcgee give ya the business?!?” awesome!

Enjoyable… the best recent version I’ve seen was William H. Macy’s horse racing reporter in Sea Biscuit. My only advice would be to keep working on the diction. That 20’s speech worked so well with its crisp stacatto delivery. There are times when Scoop sounds like he’s got some peanut butter in his mouth. Not a knock, but more a critique. I love that someone wants to keep the era alive 90 years later!

Attaboy Scoops! You sure do know your onions! You’re one hot sketch, taking on the big cheeses with the straight dope while they beat their gums with so much static. Be careful, one day some high hat just may hire a torpedo to take you for a ride just for givin’ ‘em da business!

How did Stephen McGee give your boys the business?
