rafa was very fair here..considering his injurie problems, he did pretty well to make the semis, I think he was aware of that.

All credit to Rafa, for not allowing the injury to be an excuse for the loss. Del Potro deserved the victory and the title played the best test of the tournament!
Hate it when players use an injury as an excuse, Rafa did have his chances but Del Potro defended well with big serves and powerful ground stroke.
Rafa will come back stronger next year when he is allowed the time to recover and heal properly not rushing the return! VAMOS RAFA!

Rafa.. eres un maestro!!!

Rafa is always so charming, polite and mature whether he wins or loses. His philosophy is always to learn from failure but he is never resentful and always positive. What a wonderful example he is to everyone, young or old. “He’s just a happy guy”, a friend said – how very true that is in every sense. How lucky we are to have him around – I hope he has the long and successful career he so richly deserves.

Like a true champion you don’t make exuses, and admit the opponent played better. i love you rafa and if you think an unlucky year is winning 5 titles including a grandslam then i can’t wait for you to have a lucky year rafa.

Rafa is such a perfect gentleman, he will never make excuses and always praise whoever beats him. It’s obvious that his injured stomach muscles were the reason why “the other player played much better than me” but he’ll never say so.
Rafa, you’re a true champion and a lovely person, which is why we all love you!
