thats cool…and i respect your opinion…tim tebow really is a running back/fullback that can throw the ball…mccoy is a qb who can run when need be….bama will have a spy on that ass though….but he scares me because im afraid bama will have everyone covered and he’ll take off for first downs….and yea bama hasnt seen an offense of this caliber…but texas hasnt seen a defense of this caliber either..i dont like bama being favored..i like it when theyre the underdogs..should be a good one

Gerald McCoy is one hell of a pass rusher at Nose guard… but yea Bama has a better overall D but I just think that Texas may take this one, Bama will be favored, especially after what UF did to Cincy but the Big East has been complete trash since Miami, VT, and BC left.
Colt McCoy is a MUCH more polished QB than Tebow and the Texas offense is tougher than the gators offense. I just think that Texas will win but let’s hope it’s as good as it was last time Texas was in a national championship

actually while most SEC teams are run first, over the last few years the passing game has become more prominent…..and cody is a noseguard…noseguards arent meant to be pass rushers…theyre meant to plug up lanes and require double teams so your other lineman and linebackers can get through and apply pressure…nebraska does have a better pass rush…but alabama has a better, and faster secondary and overall defense….plus bama’s offense is way better and theyre all around more physical

PAC 10 has sent some of the most explosive players in the league… DeSean Jackson, MJD, and Reggie Bush (catches and returns) are some great Players and they came from 3 different schools… but yea McClain is a beast but I just think Texas is gonna win for some reason I could really care less who wins. I just think that Nebraska’s pass rush is better than Bama’s cuz most SEC teams are run first so they don’t need to pass rush till late in the game and Cody isn’t a great pass rusher anyway

how is there no comparison…the SEC has WAYYY more players in the NFL than the pac 10…and leinart sucks..he got his chance and he choked on cock…i was comparing conferences…not teams…the pac 10 sucks ass..without usc being good you dont have shit…i do agree about suh though….no team has a defensive player like him…exceprt we have the butkus award winner in mcclain……different positions…so nebraska has the best defensive lineman…and bama has the best linebacker

I could care less about Bama, let’s hope u guys get ur first BCS win but I think Texas might beat u… Nobody u have compares to Suh and Terrence Cody aint even close. But Pete Carroll has had the most players drafted the past 5 seasons with about 53 and Matt Leinart isn’t even bad he just sits behind a great QB, nobody said Micheal Turner was sorry before he left San Diego. Bama vs USC in terms if NFL production isn’t close so I suggest u end it there. PAC 10 deserves respect

first of all….im an alabama fan…and second of all…the SEC has the most nfl players on active rosters with 263 players, with the ACC second with 238, and yea…your beloved pac 10…theyre fourth with 183…almost 100 less than the SEC….so ill ask you this…wheres matt leinart….hahahahahaha

It kills me how everyone wants to talk shit about USC but in the NFL USC is running that shit… If USC is so overrated then how come they have the most hall of famers, how come they have had the most players drafted in the last 5 seasons, how come they have players that actually do something in the NFL… Florida? where is Chris Leak, Brandon Siler, Derrick Harvey, Keiwan Ratliff, Earl Everett, Ben Troupe, Ray McDonald, Marcus Thomas, Dallas Baker, Bubba Caldwell, or any of those great gators??

well the article I found is from scout so I’m gonna still say I was right. Even if I was wrong it doesn’t change the fact that about 20 of the 22 starters on the 06 team were Ron Zook recruits.
As for Meyer vs Carroll ur telling me that even though Carroll has lost on average 2 or 3 first round picks yearly since 02 and at least 1 top assistant coach on a yearly basis since 04 and still has been able to win at least 11 games from 02-08, that Urban Meyer is better? Get real…

The article is from scout. I give you the date and a lengthy quote and you still can’t own up to being wrong. Nelson first played for UF in 2005, yet you fabricate memories about plays he made in 2004.
It’s funny that you think Meyer doesn’t lose players due to injury, to the draft and to graduation. 2 BCS titles in 5 years vs 1 BCS title in 9 years. If you want to say Meyer has failed to repeat more often than Carroll then you’ve found a silver lining on your toilet bowl.

Pete Carroll loses top assistants and players every year and still manages to field very competitive teams whereas Urban Meyer lost 2 players and 1 assistant and can’t even repeat with a stacked team…

Reggie Nelson was signed to UF out of palm bay HS in 2003 by Ron Zook but was academically ineligible. The Gator correspondents at SCOUT said that so u can STFU…
Oh and it’s funny that u think that UF plays a really tough schedule seeing as they have played only 2 teams that are currently ranked while USC has played 5.
How many consecutive Championships has UF been to? How man have they been to w/o Dan Mullen? I do remember USC going back even after losing their top 2 assistant coaches

Meyer has a won 85% of his games at UF
Carroll has won 83% at USC
I say they are both great programs. Yet you somehow claim USC is great and Florida is only good. Despite the fact that USC plays fewer ranked teams, plays in a weaker conference, and has a lower win%,

I know Reggie Nelson was recruited by ron zook and even if he wasn’t that still doesn’t change the fact that Meyer’s 06 championship was won with Ron Zook’s players.
Pete Carroll has just as many National Titles as Urban Meyer and he won them against better competition. I’ll gaurantee that 04 Oklahoma was better than 06 Ohio State and 08 Oklahoma. Kris Brown put 100 on ur defense so just imagine what Adrian Peterson could’ve done, and the Trojans shut him down

idiot… Reggie Nelson graduated High School in 2003 and went to JC for a year and signed with UF in 2004 under Ron Zook… I remember because I saw him in a game in 04 wearing #22 when he picked up a blocked kick and ran it back.
It’s easy to win when a good team is handed to u… ask Jon Gruden (GO BUCS), Larry Coker, and Mike Tomlin… No matter what u say Pete Carroll has 2 National Championships. It’s a fact… I still wanna know how u ever thought 08 UF was as good as 04 USC

Nelson was a sophomore transfer who signed after Meyer became coach. He visited FSU after Zook was fired.
You can’t deny that Meyer’s recruits (guys like Nelson, Tebow, Harvin, Spikes, Murphy, etc.). had a significant impact on UF’s 2006 success. But let’s pretend Meyer won a BCS title in his 1st year with none of his own recruits… how is that not remarkable?
Meyer is 2 for 5 in BCS titles… Carroll is 1 for 9

1st… Reggie Nelson was a junior in Urban Meyers third season because he left right after that. That means that he was recruited by Ron Zook just like the entire core of the 06 team.
The 2008 Gators and the 2004 Trojans were nothing alike. For one the 2004 USC team is considered one of the best of all time and the 2008 gators weren’t that good compared to 04 USC.
As for the 2003 Co-Championship u cansay what u want but it’s the AP that crowned them National Champs… not me

You can’t even admit that the 4th year at Florida is just like the 4th year at USC. And still waiting to hear why 1 BCS title in 9 years is better than 2 BCS titles in 5 years.
The BCS doesn’t crown co-champions… and if you’re going to pretend you might as well resurrect the Dickinson System and just call yourself champs 60 years later. Oops, USC already tried that.
Nelson was recruited and signed by Meyer. My point with 06 is that Florida doesn’t win without Meyer and his recruits.

1. I said that USC was the 2003 Co-Champion. Which was decided by the AP who had them ranked #1 before and after the sugar bowl.
2. Reggie Nelson was a Ron Zook recruit as was Siler, Leak, McDonald, Moss, Moore, Baker, Casey, Cohen, and a plethora of other starters.

Meyer and Carroll both had BCS champs in their 4th year. That’s Carroll’s only BCS championship. Carroll is 1 for 9 at the BCS. Meyer is 2 for 5. How does the fact that Meyer also won a BCS championship in his 2nd year make Carroll a better coach?
UF doesn’t win the BCS in 06 without Tebow, Harvin, Nelson and a dozen other Meyer recruits.
